A few days ago I decided to bore everyone thoroughly by describing what I was wearing.1 In that post I mentioned wearing legwarmers, but that I didn’t have a photo of them except on Ravelry.2

This turns out to have been one of my major brain farts, because I have no photos on Ravelry. They’re all at Flickr.3 Doh.

Argle bargle. I’m really tired and feel excessively random.1 It’s been quite a week. I had three2 major arguments with Favorite Guy this week. I can only remember what one of them was about now.3 I’m sure it sounds dreadful, and it is, somewhat, but one thing I’ve learned in the last 20 months of family court hell is that we fight more right before court dates.4 Fortunately they were short arguments and repaired quickly, so all is as good as it gets again.5

Omigawd, omigawd, omigawd, I am so so so tired and so very, very not done with anything. I need a month-long nap, which I am most definitely not going to get.

Big proposal

Big, huge-assed proposal to present to a potential client on Sunday. I’ve been working on it for weeks. Prolly have 30 hours of research into it at this point. It’ll be worth it if we get the contract, but the process of getting there has been an awful lot like eating a bicycle one bite a time.1

Sigh. I am an open loop. One giant open loop in danger of becoming an open wound.1 This is nothing new. This is what I do. I take giant leaps of faith, I hope, I risk, and most of the time I fall down and wind up with some scrapes and bruises. Yesterday I said I was willing to pay what it costs. I just wasn’t expecting to start today.

Open loops

I often have a lot of interesting things floating around on my desk and on my desktop. They’re the sort of thing I mean to write about, even get started writing, but they wind up floating around in “draft” mode until I give up and get rid of them.

So, I’m going to try throwing a bunch of them together on Fridays and see if that helps me with some of the clutter in my head, on my desk, and amidst the 40 to 90 tabs I usually have open in 5 browser windows.

Tell me your story, your piece of what is Humanity

When I discovered this video yesterday morning, it had just over 5,400 views. When I showed it to Favorite Guy about 8 hours later, it had over 6,600. Now it’s pushing up towards 13,000 views. Kinda fun watching something go viral. (more…)
