I sure love geeks

(scribed in the geeky chapter because it seemed like a good idea at the time)

This Red Alert tesla coil photo is so cool. Actually, what’s really cool is the story about how he created the photo (no imaging software involved.)

I’m glad the world has people in it who will waste so much time doing things like this.

Elephant Toothpaste

‘kay, there’s so much gorgeous geekiness here that I’m having a hard time staying in my chair. Couldn’t resist sharing Bored with the Internet.

Superparamagnetic Ferrofluid Art

(scribed in the geeky chapter because it seemed like a good idea at the time)

This blog seems to be drawing out my geeky side. I love science and physics and weird math stuff.

‘kay, I’m starting to get pissed off about the goddamn video embedding thing…I put in the code into the html editor and it’s fine, looks fine on preview.

I click submit and it adds these stupid lj-embed tags and then the videos don’t display. grrrrrr You’ll just have to click on the damn links. I’m tired of fiddling with this.  Have I mentioned that I’m not a fan of WYSIWYG editors?

DIY Quantum Eraser

(scribed in the geeky chapter because it seemed like a good idea at the time)

Be still my beating heart. We’ve now achieved quantum erasing in the home.

If you don’t intuitively know how very cool it is to be able to build your own quantum eraser, I’m not going to try to explain it to you. Just think of it as geek magic.
