Morning Glory Cafe Open Mic

Although I've been attending this open mic night for months, I don't know that much about how it's organized.

It's generally held the last Thursday of the month, though that can, and does change around any holiday or spring break. It's always from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

I don't know if it runs through the summer or not and I don't know who actually organizes it. Sometimes it's listed in the weekly, sometimes not.

What I can tell you is that it's a super group of mostly young folks. The energy is terrific. It's an intimate and fun opportunity to share. People read poetry out of their journals and sing.

It's lovely.

Bring change for parking, or come prepared to walk a distance. The parking lot is for the train station, it costs money and they do ticket. There's not usually much street parking right there, but if you're willing to walk a couple of blocks, you can park on 5th or further south on Willamette.
